Simony said in a conversation with Sonia Abrão that friends stopped talking to her after she was diagnosed with cancer
Simony participated in A Tarde é Sua, program presented by Sonia Abrão on RedeTV!, this Wednesday afternoon (26). The singer and presenter has opened up about the routine since she was diagnosed with cancer, as well as revealing that many friends stopped talking to her after the diagnosis was confirmed.
“I think it’s really cool when someone sends you a message of affection, when you don’t have that bond, that friendship. Because there are a lot of friends, for example, when I’m got sick, they didn’t even message me. And people I didn’t know sometimes. and they messaged me, it’s pretty amazing,” the artist said.
Columnist Thiago Rocha, however, said this attitude may have been caused by people’s lack of tact in bringing up the subject with someone who has been diagnosed with the disease. “Sometimes when it’s very close to us, we don’t know how to approach. You saw the time it took me to call you. I’m going to talk, how should I behave”, argued the journalist .
Simony then explained“You always have to make yourself available. For example, ‘Do you need my help? Can I help you with something? Do you want to talk about it?’. And when you promise something to that person who is already fragile, you run, because it is very important to her“, she reflected.
